National Strategic Plan for Infection Control in Health Care Facilities 2011–2015

The Ministry of Health has established a National Strategic Plan for Infection Control in Health Care Facilities (2011-2015) to response to the Asia Pacific Strategy for Emerging Diseases (APSED) of Western Pacific Regional Office of WHO, in collaboration with many relevant partner working to improve infection control in health care facilities in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Over the years, we observed that resources for infection control development have been increasing through NGOs and UN agencies; However, as there had been no national strategic plan in place, those resources were misallocated to non prioritized areas, resulting in very poor infection control practices in most health care facilities through out the country. Download English versionKhmer version
